Locate the Notifications Settings
To open the notifications settings, start by clicking on Settings from the main left hand menu in your dashboard. Under the sub menu called System Settings, you will see Notifications. This will open a page where you can configure which email notifications your donors and your team receive.
Types of Email Notifications
Once you locate the Notifications Settings, you will see a list of available email notifications that can be sent to either your donors or your team. Some of the available email notifications to choose from in this menu correspond to email templates you can build in the Emails tool. A few are only available to be sent to your team.
The following emails types are available to be sent to your donors, or your team, or both (except for the Donation Confirmation):
- Donation Confirmation: Thank the donor for their gift.
- New Recurring Schedule: Send a confirmation that a new recurring schedule has been started.
- Updated Recurring Schedule: Send a confirmation of changes made to a recurring schedule.
- Cancelled Recurring Schedule: Send a confirmation that a recurring schedule has ended.
- Upcoming Charge: Notify the donor 7 days before their payment method is processed.
- Failed Recurring Charge: Send a notice to donors that their recurring gift was unsuccessful.
- Successful Recurring Charge: Send a notice to donors that their recurring gift was successful.
- Acknowledgement: Send a note in honor or in memory of a tribute.
In addition to these email notifications, there are three email notifications available just for your team to receive:
- Payment Disputes: A donation payment is disputed by a donor or their bank.
- Unsuccessful Integrations: An integration with your RaiseDonors account has failed.
- Premium Inventory Low: The number of items for one of your Premiums is low on inventory.
Configuring the Email Notifications
Next to each type of email notification on the list are two check boxes. Each check box corresponds to either your donors or your team. So for each email type, choose whether you want your donors or your team to receive that type of notification.
After selecting which emails will be sent to your donors, decide which team members will receive specific email notifications. The far right column next to the check boxes allows you to list out specific team members’ email addresses (separated by commas).
