Raise Giving Pages have the option to include strategic Prompts designed to increase donor engagement and conversion rates. These Prompts help guide donors through the giving process by encouraging recurring giving, recovering potentially lost donations, and creating a sense of community through shared impact. Each Prompt can be customized to match your organization's messaging and donor engagement strategy:
- The Recurring Ask Prompt encourages donors to upgrade their one-time gift to recurring.
- The Abandoned Form Prompt re-engages donors who start but don't complete their donation.
- The Shared Impact Prompt displays a live feed of recent Gifts to inspire action.
This article will walk you through how each Prompt works and how to configure them for your Giving Pages.
Accessing The Prompts
To add and customize the Raise Prompts on your giving Form, toggle to Prompts at the top of the Builder.
Recurring Ask Prompt
The Recurring Ask Prompt encourages donors to make a lasting impact by giving alternative recurring donation options after they have selected one-time giving. For example, if a donor selects to give a $10 one-time Gift, the Prompt will suggest alternative Recurring Gift options based on multipliers of the $10. To enable, toggle on the Recurring Ask Prompt from the Prompts menu. This opens the editor panel as well as an in-builder preview of the Prompt.
Settings
In the editor panel, there are a number of configuration options for Settings.
- Determine Placement. Decide when the Recurring Gift Prompt will appear.
- After Frequency Component: Prompt will appear after the donor selects one-time Gift option
- On Submit: Prompt will appear after the donor selects a one-time Gift option and completes donor information fields.
- Configure Ask Values. Add recurring amount option(s) to present to a donor, based on their original Gift amount. Choose multipliers and recurring frequencies for the Gift Ask array. Then, Preview Factored Asks to view the options with a specific Gift amount to see how it looks.
- Set Display Conditions. Configure conditions for when the Recurring Gift Prompt will display. For example, if a donor selects a $300 one-time Gift, you can remove this Prompt.
- Add Opt-Out Button Content. An opt-out button will be added to the Prompt automatically for donors who wish to skip the Recurring Ask Prompt. Add text here to help donors understand their opt out option.
Design
Under the Design tab, customize the design of the Gift Array and Opt Out buttons. Each Ask Multiplier will have its own design options.
Here, you are able to set:
- Size
- Font
- Text Color
- Background Color and Hover Colors
- Outline Weight and Rounded Corners
- Custom CSS class(es)
- Icons (if desired)
Abandoned Form Prompt
The Abandoned Form Prompt is a message that pops up when a donor closes out of an incomplete donation. The call to action is to return to complete their donation. The Abandoned Form Prompt will appear in the bottom-right corner of the webpage.
To enable, toggle on the Abandoned Form Prompt from the Prompts menu. This opens the editor panel as well as an in-builder preview of the Prompt.
Settings
In the editor panel, there are a number of configuration options for Settings.
- Configure Call to Action Content. This is the content that appears as the title, message, and button text in the Prompt. Use Merge Tags to personalize the content with name and Gift amount, for example.
- Customize Fallback Content. Similar to the Call to Action Content, this is the text that appears in the Prompt. However, if the donor has abandoned their Gift without entering any identifiable information the fallback content doesn’t rely upon Merge Tags. For example, instead of “Hi [First Name], complete your $[Amount] gift,” the Fallback message might say “Complete your donation today!”
Design
Under the Design tab, customize the design of the pop-up including:
- Size
- Font
- Text Color
- Background Color and Hover Colors
- Outline Weight and Rounded Corners
- Call to Action Button Width
- Custom CSS class(es)
- Button Icon and Icon Position
Shared Impact Prompt
The Shared Impact Prompt is a live feed element that shows the donor recent Gifts from other donors. This Prompt is designed to inspire donors to complete their Gift and be part of the shared impact. The Prompt automatically waits for donor engagement before appearing, then displays notifications at optimal intervals (8-15 seconds initially, then every 25-40 seconds) to capture giving momentum without being intrusive. To enable, toggle on the Shared Impact Prompt from the Prompts menu.
Settings
In the editor panel for the Shared Impact Prompt, the user will have these configuration options:
- Donate Button Text
- Determine whether to Show Donation Amount
- Determine whether to Show Donor’s Location
- Determine whether to Show Donor’s Last Name Initial. If toggled off, the Prompt will only show the donor’s first name.
- Determine whether to Show Project Name the donor gave to
Note: Donors who indicate they want their Gift to be anonymous will not be included in the Shared Impact Prompt. To give donors the option of giving anonymously, add the Anonymous Giving Component to your Form.
