Raise Cart is an e-commerce-style donation experience in Raise giving forms that allows donors to browse what matters to them from your organization’s Projects, add incentives from Premiums, build a cart, and check out in a single transaction.

Overview
The Cart is the connective component for using the Project or Premium Catalogues, which allow donors to browse and select Project designations or Premiums when giving. For example, Raise Cart might power a year-end gift catalogue experience. Instead of asking for a single gift from a donor, your organization presents a menu of tangible options, such as $25 provides a week of meals or $100 sponsors a school kit, and lets donors add several to their cart before checking out in one transaction.
When a donor adds a Project or Premium to their shopping cart, the Cart updates in real time and syncs to the underlying donation form. Donors can add multiple Projects or Premiums to the shopping cart and complete the transactions with a single checkout. The donation is designated across all selected Projects and any incentives from Premiums are included in the Gift details. See how it works below.
The Cart experience includes three parts:
- Browse the catalogue: Use the Project Catalogue, Premium Catalogue, or both! Donors explore a searchable menu on your giving page and decide what is important to them. As causes and items are added to the cart, a floating button fixed on the page shows the running item count. A brief notification (“Item added to cart”) appears each time a donor adds an item.
- Review the cart: Click the floating button to open a slide-in panel listing all selected Projects and Premiums, with optional images and individual pricing. Donors can remove items before proceeding to checkout.
- Check out in one transaction: Donors complete a single checkout for all Project designations and/or Premium items. The checkout modal contains the donation form and a collapsible order summary.
After submission, the donor sees a confirmation screen showing exactly what was ordered. The full Project split and Premium selections are included in the donation record.
The Cart can be added to your giving pages as a single Giving Component or through the Marketplace Module.
Adding Raise Cart to Your Page via Giving Component
To add Cart from a Giving Component, use the Add Component section in the builder. Start by adding either the Project Catalogue, the Premium Catalogue, or both into your form. The Cart must be used with at least one of these Components. The Cart picks up items from whichever Catalogues are present on the page.
Project Catalogue
If using the Project Catalogue, your form displays a browsable grid of your organization’s fundraising Projects. Each Project selection can include an image, description, pricing options, optional quantity selectors, and impact messaging (such as Your $50 feeds a family for a week). Once your Project Catalogue Component is in your form, click into the element to customize the Settings and Design.
In the Settings tab, configure:
- Component Title: add a name visible to donors
- Display Mode: choose to present the Projects as Cards or Search Box
- Project Selection: choose to Select Specific Projects to display to donors or include All Projects. Opt to Include Pinned Projects or Require Project Selection.
- Layout: choose how the Project options are displayed to donors when using the Card Display Mode
- Giving Options: choose to display a Gift Array, Custom Amount, or Fixed Amount for each Project
In the Design tab, configure colors for title, background, cards, and buttons.
Premium Catalogue
If using the Premium Catalogue, your form displays a browsable grid of physical or digital donor gifts. Donors can view incentive details and add Premiums to the same shared Cart as their Project selections. Premiums with variants (such as shirt sizes or colors) are tracked per variant as individual line items in the Cart and in the Gift details once the transaction is submitted. Once your Premium Catalogue Component is in your Form, click into the element to customize the display.
In the Settings tab, configure:
- Title: add a name visible to donors
- Premium Selection: choose to Select Specific Premiums or All Premiums
- Layout: configure how the Premiums will display to donors
-
Display Options toggles to
- Show Images: shows the image associated with the Premium
- Show Descriptions: shows the description from the Premium
- Show SKU: shows the Premium Code
- Show Search Bar: gives donors the option to search as well as select a card
- Allow Quantities: gives donors the option to add more than one of a specific Premium to their Cart
In the Design tab, configure colors for title, background, cards, and buttons.
