Importing donor information is not required to get started with RaiseDonors. Suppose your organization is integrating with your CRM and you want your CRM to be your master donor database, and you have a CRM integration enabled. In that case, all the data from RaiseDonors will be pushed into their CRM treating RaiseDonors as a "segment" of donors, which continues to grow as fundraising efforts continue.
Suppose you want to import and house your donor information in RaiseDonors to give access to a portal where they can manage recurring giving schedules and view their giving history, then look no further! Below are the required parameters and optional fields for import.
The template below must be filled out to import donor information into RaiseDonors. Once ready, please open a ticket with support@raisedonors.com to provide the support team with the completed template to process the import.
Required fields
- First Name (string, 75 characters max)
- Last Name (string, 75 characters max)
- Email Address (string, 150 characters max)
- Billing Address (string, 255 characters max)
- Billing City (string, 255 characters max)
- Billing State (Full Text) (string, 255 characters max)
- State values & Canadian State values must match the standardized list attached to this article.
- Billing Postal (string, 15 characters max)
- Billing Country (ISO3 or ISO2) (string, 150 character max)
- Country values must match the standardized list we've attached to this article.
Optional fields
- Organization Name (Business) (string, 100 character max)
- Phone Number (string, 50 characters max)
- Shipping Address (string, 255 characters max)
- Shipping City (string, 255 characters max)
- Shipping State (Full Text) (string, 255 characters max)
- Shipping Postal (string, 15 characters max)
- Shipping Country (ISO3 or ISO2) (string, 150 character max)
- Newsletter Opt-In - Has this donor opted into your email appeals? (boolean - true/false)
- CRM Key - A key to your system (i.e., CRM) (string, 100 characters max)
- Existing donor passwords - Only if they are clear-text password records
- If they are encrypted passwords, RaiseDonors cannot decrypt them.
- A common approach is to follow up with a marketing email inviting your donors to 'reset their password in their new donor portal.
