Welcome to the first-ever edition of our release notes for our new RaiseDonors platform! We are always working to create better and more powerful giving experiences for you and your donors. Here are all the latest and greatest updates available when you log in!
In Whomst Do You Trust?
In our brave new world, you can use the internet to pay for someone to give you a ride in their car, order dish soap and trash bags for same-day delivery, or just watch old episodes of Friends or Walker, Texas Ranger. And, of course, donors can give to support your mission. But despite its growth, not everyone is comfortable with online giving. So, how can you communicate to your donors that your website really is you, and not some online scammer waiting to steal all their information?
The new Trust & FAQ Center is here to help with that.
Now, for any of your giving pages and forms, you can display messaging to let your donors know their gift is secure.
But wait…that shows trust, sure. What about the FAQ part?
Ah, we are SO glad you asked!
This new section can be configured to include up to four elements, either with addition copy that displays when hovering, or even external links to addition content or other donation options, like estate giving.
For all existing pages and forms, this new feature will not be turned on by default, but you can choose to add it by selecting the settings menu when editing your form.
All new pages and forms will have this option turned on by default, with some basic copy included to get you started.
Go ahead and try this out on your forms today!
On the Persistence of Segments
Attribution for recurring giving is hard. Not quadratic equations hard, to be sure, but still. How do you attribute a gift that could last for years? Campaigns are generally finite. If a donor gives to your 2024 Fiscal Year End Campaign, how do you track the dollars for recurring payments received in 2027?
Any time a donor makes a new recurring gift, that gift will be assigned the segment code associated with the giving form used. And then, when it’s time for the second payment? Now you’ll have some options.
On Campaigns, we’ve added an option for Segments to remain on all recurring payments for as long as your Campaign remains active.
If your 2024 Fiscal Year End Campaign lasts until July 31, 2024, then Segments associated with that Campaign will continue to be assigned to gifts until that date.
Ah, but what then?
(Boy, you sure do ask great hypothetical questions!)
Well, if you are syncing your gifts to Virtuous CRM, you’ll be able to specify in the sync settings which Segment you’d like to apply to all recurring payments.
These Segments will be applied to all future recurring payments after your Campaign ends. And if you choose not to allow Segments to be applied for the duration of your Campaign, the default Segment selected in the sync settings will be used for every payment after the first.
You are covered either way!

…And the Rest
This update also includes a number of other fixes, tweaks, minor modifications, and assorted nudges. Here’s a roundup of other items released over the last month:
- Using Google UTM codes? Well now, you can view and even export any UTM codes associated with a gift! Not using Google UTM codes? Or not even sure what they are? That’s cool, too!
- When viewing the list of users in the Admin settings, you can now download a list of all users. Sometimes, you just need to see stuff in a spreadsheet.
- When viewing all of your forms and pages on the Fundraiser page, we’ve added a link to view your actual pages live. It’s all cozy in the quick actions menu, which you can access by clicking the three dots to the right of any page.
- More design options! When adding a frequency option to your giving form, now you can choose to view frequencies as buttons, checkboxes, or in a new tabbed view. Very chic!
- Finding it hard to find your way to the form settings when in the form builder? Well not anymore! We’ve added a new button to allow quick access to your form settings.
And that's the list! If you have any questions, you can always reach out to our support team to learn more.
