Enable The Donor Portal 2.0
The Raise Donor Portal 2.0 is currently in beta. This means you must first enable it on the Early Access Programs page under System Settings before configuring your Donor Portal.
Then, navigate to Donor Portal Settings.
At the top of this page, find the new URL for your organization that donors will follow to sign up for an account and access their Portal.
This URL is not available to donors until you enable the rollout areas described in Configure the Donor Portal Rollout section below. Add your branding first before making the Donor Portal 2.0 accessible to your supporters.
Note: Enabling the Donor Portal 2.0 does not delete any data from your legacy Donor Portal, nor does it disable the legacy URL. If, at any time, you need to access or configure your legacy Portal, disable the Donor Portal 2.0 option on the Early Access Program page. This will revert the Donor Portal Settings Screen to your legacy Portal with all existing data.
Customize The Portal
To customize your Donor Portal, scroll down on the page and customize your branding with:
- Dashboard Banner Image: Add an image across the top of the Donor Portal dashboard.
- Default Donation Form: Add a published Embedded Form for donors to submit a new Gift from the Portal.
- Dashboard Welcome: Add a Greeting and Intro Message at the top of the Donor Portal dashboard. Use the merge tags to personalize each donor's copy.
Select Save Changes at the top of the page.
Configure The Donor Rollout
After you finish customizing, choose which areas use the Donor Portal 2.0. Any area you leave disabled continues to send donors to your legacy Portal, so you can roll the beta out one area at a time.
- Emails: If enabled, the link added to all emails sent from Raise will use the Donor Portal 2.0 URL.
- Donation Pages and Widgets: If enabled, the link in the header of your Pages and any Widgets will use the Donor Portal 2.0 URL.
-
Raise Admin: If enabled, the link your team uses to impersonate a donor will use the Donor Portal 2.0.
- We recommend enabling this setting first and using the impersonation tool on a donor record to view how the new Portal looks with your branding.
Once enabled to donors, supporters with existing Donor Portal accounts can login with the same information as before. Click here to learn more about how a donor gets into the Donor Portal 2.0.
What The Donor Sees
When a donor logs into the Donor Portal 2.0, they’ll see your Greeting and Intro Message on the Dashboard. Overviews of their next Recurring Gift, Recent Donations, recent Impact Updates, and recent offline Donations are visible here.
Under the Donation History tab, the donor sees their recent giving with details on payment method, recurring, and Project information.
On the Impact page, the donor sees Project milestones, stories of success, or other news shared directly from your team. Click here to learn more about Impact Updates.
On the Recurring Gifts tab, the donor can view and manage their Recurring schedule information.
And lastly, on the Giving Statements tab, the donor can download prior years’ annual tax statements for their records.
