The path of least resistance is always the best path for giving. In our technological age where everything, including our money, is at our fingertips, allowing your donors to use Apple Pay and Google Pay to make donations on your Giving Forms is a handy tool. Let’s dive into how enable Wallets on your donation pages.
Verify Your Domain for Apple Pay
In order to use Apple Pay, you will need to first register your domains for the Forms where you will allow Apple Pay. To do so, navigate to Settings, then Payment Providers. Here, select your active Payment Provider and follow the instructions onscreen for registering your domain.
- If you are embedding Raise forms onto your website, use the domain of your website where the forms will live: yourdomain.com
- If you are using Raise Hosted Pages, use yourdomain.givevirtuous.org
NOTE: You must include the subdomain in the domain you enter. For example, if you have a subdomain of "www" or "donate" you must include that in the domain you enter.
Domain verification is only needed for enabling Apple Pay. Google Pay is enabled by default in Stripe.
Add Wallet Payment Options to Your Giving Form
Now that you’ve verified Apple Pay as a provider in Virtuous Raise, it’s time to add Wallets as a payment option to your forms!
First, navigate to the giving form where you want to add these mobile options. On the giving form, select the payment block.
Here, you’ll see all the ways you can accept payments. In order to enable Apple Pay and Google Pay, you will need to select the wallets checkbox. Once this is done, your form is ready to accept mobile pay!
If you want to see what these look like in action, you’ll need to look at the form on an Android or Apple device as Google Pay and Apple Pay are only available on mobile devices.
