The setup of schedule objects housed in Virtuous Raise is a 'link' between Virtuous Raise and the schedules stored with Stripe Unified. There are two distinct approaches to migrating recurring data into Virtuous Raise, in both cases, schedules already exist with Stripe Unified and schedule objects need to be created either in the Virtuous Raise app or your CRM being used to complement Virtuous Raise. The process outlined here is considered the "manual" process. To learn more about the automated token migration process that engages the Virtuous team, check out this support article, which features more details.
The Manual Approach is (as the name indicates) a manual, bulk creation of schedule objects in Virtuous Raise to accurately capture all customized information related to recurring schedules for the new gateway, essentially migrating one bundle of information on a specific day.
This is the most common approach, but it's also the most detailed. To help facilitate this approach we've created a Schedule Import Template. This file can import recurring schedules into Virtuous Raise as schedule objects.
-
Pros:
- A detailed account of attributions will be captured (including motivation code, source code, etc)
- Schedules can be split across multiple Projects.
- The recurring schedules are imported in just one day
-
Cons:
- The file creation is labor-intensive and extremely precise
- The full process of receiving tokens from an external processor and confirming them to Virtuous Raise
- Payments can take 60+ business days
