How Do I Add PayPal as a Payment Provider?
To add your PayPal account, navigate to Settings. Then, select Payment Providers.
Click + New Provider in the top right. On the Create a new Payment Provider screen, select the hyperlink Actually, I would like to link my PayPal account to Virtuous Raise at the bottom.
Fill out the form with your:
- PayPal Account Display Name
- Currency
- Credit Card Rate
- Credit Card Flat Fee
Then, select Set Up PayPal. This will open a popup for your to login with your PayPal account credentials.
What Are The Credit Card Fees From PayPal?
The credit card fees are set by PayPal. If you are not sure what your PayPal rates are, please contact PayPal to confirm. Accurate rates will ensure Raise and PayPal are aligned on fee calculation.
How Do I Add PayPal as an Option on my Giving Form?
After you've added PayPal as a Payment Provider, navigate to your Giving Form. In the builder, select the donation block. The Settings menu will open on the right with Payment Methods. Select PayPal/Venmo. Then, choose your PayPal Gateway from the dropdown.
Can the PayPal Payment Method Create a Recurring Schedule?
No. Virtuous Payments are unable to tokenize and vault payment methods used in PayPal. No recurring schedules can be created from PayPal transactions.
How Are Disputes Managed?

Is Virtuous Payments Notified of ACH Settlements?
Payments does not know of any actions being taken inside of PayPal. To view ACH settlements, view your PayPal account.
